Steve Hunt for State Senate
Steve Hunt's special election is on January 12, 2010. Don't forget to request an absentee ballot or vote early absentee if you won't be in town on January 12. Voting absentee in-person is a great for college students home on break. In-person absentee voting begins Friday, December 18th at the Fairfax County Government Center. Polls for absentee voting are open M-F, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., from 12/18 through 1/8 and on Saturday, 1/9, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Government Center will not be open on Dec. 24, 25, 31, and Jan. 1.
Samantha Rucker for School Board
Meet Samantha
Samantha Vanterpool Rucker was born in the Caribbean, the oldest of four children. In 1988, her family immigrated to Virginia and settled
in Mason District. Her mother almost immediately became a part of FCPS Head Start/FECEP program. She continues to work with FCPS and advocate
for Head Start.
Samantha attended George Mason University in Fairfax and received a degree in Government and Politics. After graduating with
high academic honors from GMU, she pursued her education further and received a law degree in 1996.
